Lisa Vanessa Cuffy, 46, a resident of Franklin Park, IL died unexpectedly at work on Friday, February 17, 2012. Lisa, daughter of Zedna Naomi Davis Halliday and Calvin Lincoln Halliday of Hartford, was a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, but spent most of her formative years in Hartford. Lisa was educated in the Hartford school system and was well known for her intelligence. She was a graduate of Weaver High School Class of 1983 and continued her education by attending San Diego State University where she completed the African American Studies program. Most recently, Lisa was employed as a business analyst and installation report specialist at Empire Today of Northlake, Illinois. Besides her parents she leaves five siblings, Alice E. Farrell and her husband Wayne of Springfield, MA, Ira L. Halliday of Hartford, Laverne N.R. Halliday of Winchester, VA, Calvin L. Halliday, 2nd and Dawn C. Halliday both of Hartford; 9 aunts, 5 uncles, 15 nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives friends and co-workers. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica’s Episcopal Church, 3575 Main Street, Hartford, with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain Rd., Bloomfield.
